Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of RaceReports. By creating an account or submitting any content, you accept them.

1. Who can use the platform

You must be at least 16 years old. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials confidential.

2. Your content

• You retain copyright in your reviews, photos, and GPX tracks. By publishing them you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and aggregate the content for the purpose of running the platform.
• You must own the content or have permission to publish it. Don't upload someone else's photos or copyrighted material.
• Reviews must reflect your honest experience as a finisher. Fake reviews — written by people who didn't actually run the race, or paid for by organisers — are grounds for immediate account suspension and may be removed without notice.

3. Community standards

You may not use RaceReports to:

• Harass, threaten, or impersonate any other person.
• Post hate speech, illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
• Spam, scrape data systematically, or abuse our APIs.
• Bypass the flagging or moderation systems.

Other runners can flag content for our moderators. We review every flag and may remove content, suspend accounts, or take other action in our reasonable discretion.

4. Organiser accounts

• Organiser dashboard access requires verification (domain email, documents, or platform proof). We may approve or reject any application without giving reasons.
• Verified organisers may reply to reviews of their own events. Replies are public and held to the same standards as reviews.
• Organisers may not remove or attempt to manipulate negative reviews of their events. Doing so revokes the verification.

5. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but make no guarantees. RaceReports is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, to the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law.

6. Account suspension and deletion

• You can delete your account at any time from /account. Deletion is permanent and cascades to your reviews, photos, GPX uploads, follows, XP transactions, and event interests.
• We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms, that show clear signs of being fake or automated, or that we're required to remove by law.

7. Changes

We'll post material changes to these terms at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the change date constitutes acceptance.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Malaysian law. Disputes arising from your use of RaceReports fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
